Half Term Forest School Family Fun – A Roaring Success!

Hyndburn’s half term holiday saw an opportunity for over 40 local parents and children to enjoy a taste of our Forest School. Rothwell Heights, a magnificent woodland space above Bullough Park, Accrington, welcomed local families in for an afternoon of outdoor fun from hunting for treasure to den building, bow and arrow making to bug hunting.

Children and parents we’re full of excitement. Betsy, aged five, said “I loved the bug hunt - I want to take the bugs home!” Claire, a mum attending for the first time, said “it’s really good up here – it’s good knowing we’ve got somewhere to come – we’ll definitely come back again”.

The afternoon was a roaring success, it was great so see so many families having fun in the outdoors. We’re looking forward to our next activity in the Easter holidays.
